E5 Retiring in Sedona, Arizona

Sedona, Arizona is known as a wonderful vacation destination, whether you go hiking among the glorious red rocks, visit the art galleries or take in a movie at the Sedona International Film Festival.  Imagine retiring there!  Sedona was featured in the March/April 2020 issue of Where to Retire Magazine as one of the “8 Cities for Hikers and Walkers.” A photograph of Sedona is used as the cover of the issue. https://visitsedona.com/blog/sedona-featured-on-cover-of-where-to-retire-magazine/#:~:text=Sedona%2C%20AZ%2C%20has%20been%20selected,people%20with%20retirement%20relocation%20decisions.   Bob and Irene Peake left suburban Long Island, New York for the alluring climate of Sedona, Arizona and have no regrets. Bob discusses both the beauty of the scenery and the people of Sedona

Bob Peake

Bob Peake retired from a 34-year career as an attorney with the NYS Court System. Better than a quarter century of that time was spent at one of the more prominent appellate courts in the country, significant for its location in Manhattan and the review of decisions involving leading corporations and state and local administrative agencies.
His interests include home renovation, audio, particularly acoustics and speaker design and construction; computer technology; he most recently designed Java relational database programs for a local non-profit; photography and horseback riding.
Bob's wife, Irene, spent a 40-year career in employee communications (including benefits consulting), marketing communications and executive communications. She worked for Canon USA, then for two prominent consulting firms and, finally, for 14 years for the largest hospital network in NY State. Her activities largely revolve around art – specifically collage, painting and sculpture – and Mahjong.
